Prost! 🍻 Oktoberfest is coming to Radium Hot Springs, and we think that’s a pretty good excuse to pack a weekend bag.
On Saturday, October 3, 2026, Legend’s Field in the heart of Radium will transform into a mountain-sized celebration of beer, music, food, dancing and all things Oktoberfest. The party runs from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, giving you plenty of time to embrace your inner Bavarian before heading back to your cozy mountain bed.
For $50, your ticket includes admission, a drink token and a commemorative plastic beer stein. After that, it’s up to you how enthusiastically you embrace the spirit of Oktoberfest!
There will be plenty of live music throughout the day, including European Touch Band, bringing those classic Bavarian and polka sounds, along with L8, Jumping Rodents and headliners Mocking Shadows.
And naturally, there will be competitions.
Think you can hold a beer stein longer than your friends? Prove it.
Think your lederhosen or dirndl deserves some recognition? Enter the costume contest.
Think you can yodel?
Well… this is your moment.
But here's our favourite part: you don't have to make Oktoberfest a one-day trip.
Make it a Columbia Valley weekend!
Come early and enjoy the spectacular colours of fall. Take a scenic drive through the mountains, explore a trail, wander around Radium, or head into Kootenay National Park for some fresh mountain air.
Then, after a day of exploring, put your feet up and get ready for Oktoberfest.
And when the music finally winds down at 10 PM, you won't have to worry about driving all the way home. Stay the night, sleep in, enjoy a lazy Sunday morning and maybe sneak in one more mountain adventure before heading back.
Of course, no visit to Radium is complete without a soak in the Radium Hot Springs. Imagine spending Saturday hiking through golden autumn scenery, dancing to live music that night, and soaking in the mineral pools before heading home Sunday.
Now that sounds like a weekend.
The event is 19+, and a complimentary shuttle will be available to help everyone celebrate responsibly.
So grab your friends. Find a ridiculous hat. Dust off those lederhosen.
Come for the Oktoberfest. Stay for the mountains.
And if anyone asks why you're taking a weekend trip to Radium in October…
Tell them it's important cultural research.
Prost! 🍺🍂🏔️
